Thankfully I'm not getting much pain from the wisdoms, though I'm petrified of getting an infection. Now the massive swelling is just irritating. A friend made my sister and I a chocolate mudcake that looks GLORIOUS and professional - I wish I could eat solids!
*huggles because ice cream is very much appreciated!*
If it's just one, you're probably going to have an easier experience than I did - I had all four out. Also, you're probably unlikely to get corneal abrasion, so that's another point in your favour!
I don't know if my tongue actually swelled up, or if it was just so awkward and unmanageable because it was numb that it just felt that way...
And for all my whining (I know I do a lot) it wasn't too horrible -- if you can, have it under anaesthetic at a hospital rather than in the dentist's chair, because the last thing I remember before waking up in recovery was saying "Dizzy..." to the anaesthetist. The most annoying part is probably waiting for sensation to come back to your face and mouth, but mine was completely returned by the time I woke up the next morning. I recommend sleeping a lot after the surgery to pass the time unaware of the discomforts like numbness!

Please don't hate me, but I never had wisdom teeth. Neither did my Mom. I'm glad I didn't have to go through what you are experiencing.
*sends ice cream*
