In lab, we did things with playdough. It was awesome. I took the leftovers back with me, and made these because I'm completely unoriginal and can't think of anything myself.

Yes, I went through all the real cards and gave my fake ones stats that made sense (well, somewhat. I still don't understand how Percival is stronger than Kilgarrah, or why Sir Leon's leadership is so low.)

I was incredibly lucky this summer and got a chance to see Neil Gaiman speak at the 92nd Street Y. He was hilarious, as was Lev Grossman, and I am now insanely excited for the American Gods sequel. The best parts of the interview were when he spontaneously started talking about Doctor Who and tried to imitate other daleks' reactions to the red one ( Read more... )

I've been a fan of Nordic mythology since I was a kid, so when I went to see "Thor" yesterday, I was kind of worried that it was going to completely ignore the legends. While the movie's Loki was malicious and power-hungry rather than a simple trickster, Sif's hair wasn't terribly pretty let alone blonde, and the plot was fairly standard, the music ( Read more... )
