im a bit of a physics fan. i picked that book up a few yrs back. its good.

may i suggest:
The Extravagant Universe by Robert Kirshner

good stuff about how dark energy seems to be accelerating the universal expansion
if its true then we are headed for a big freeze, rather than a big crunch.
