Fic dump

I was internet-less this evening, annoyingly, and after writing a bit more of the Story of Madness (it again is song inspired and I have decided that Snow Patrol does terrifying things to my brain) I went through the graveyard of unfinished stories on my computer ( Read more... )

Ooh, thank you for bringing the shiny! I love them all, especially the last one. *sigh*...

Also, I have to admit I didn't get the code in the letter. I tried using every fifth word and then every sixth word... I tried crossing out every fifth word and then every sixth word... clearly I will never be an auror, so could I have a little help? :D

Alas, it was nothing so complicated as a real code. Remus says that there are five people who believe Sirius and 'Colin Creevey' corrects him by saying that instead of there being five ways to catch Kappas there are six. There's also I believe you were the best teacher we've ever had.

Tonks and I aren't great at codes.

Oh, wow, Antonia.

I identify with Lily in a major way. I think something like that went through my head with each of my kids.

The Cho one made me sad, and I liked the trio (I especially liked Molly in that one)

But I think the last one is my favourite. I really, really like the backstory this provides for Tonks. I can easily see this as canon.

Thanks, Julie. I'm glad that Lily's reaction felt right to you. Obviously to me it's all just guess work so it's great to know it rings true!

I like Molly in the trio one. I think she's the reason that I didn't delete it all together.

As for the Tonks one ... I adored writing her backstory, but then was trying to write stuff during OotP and it really didn't work. Perhaps because I've read too many stories like that whereas I've not read the Tonks joins the order ones.

Thanks for commenting!

Genius. Sheer brilliance. The depth of emotion you convey so easily and simply in everything you write leaves me in awe.

What a superb backstory for Tonks; far better than my cack-handed attempt.

You know I'm not pregnant anymore, right? And you know, too, that my fish has been heavily neglected for a whole year, right?

I thought so.

*hugs*

Thanks, Baffy dearest. *hugs*

I'm glad you like the Tonks story. I manage to do backstory much more successfully, it seems, than I do frontstory (er ...) judging by what happened when I tried to write about how she grew to love Remus Lupin.

I remember the ice-skating Remus/Tonks you wrote. I loved that.

Oh, and talking of unfinished backstory ...

Sirius: All I'm doing is sitting on a computer. *whines* It's boring.

James: Padfoot needs to go for a walk, Cara. Can't you get her to let us out?
