it's really late & I'm super tired, but suffice it to say that I really enjoyed the movie, & I did like it a bit more than Twilight.. although, there were definitely some over-the-top cheesy moments that kinda had me rolling my eyes, and some dodgy acting - but overall I loved the cinematography, & the 'months passing' scene was beautiful & done really well, imo. I definitely choked up a bit during it.. ♥

"there were definitely some over-the-top cheesy moments that kinda had me rolling my eyes"

Like the vamp!Bella moment? I think it's unanimous, everybody thought that scene was cringe worthy lol I personally think it was just a bad directing choice there because showing Edward running in slow-mo just ruined the moment. If they would have started off with Bella running instead and then the close-up on her face shining & the golden eyes.. it would have been more affective.

"and some dodgy acting"

Just curious, who did you think had dodgy acting?

I'm glad you enjoyed the overall movie though, I think the entire ~mood~ and quality was just 10 times better than Twilight IMO. ♥

Oh yeah, that I agree with. They weren't that great at all unfortunatly. It felt a little 'forced' and weak.

I'm glad we agree on the best book of the saga then. ♥

Yes it is really really close to the book, I can't think of many scenes in the movie that were changed from the original story unlike Twilight that was only 45% like the book. Of course there is alot of original dialogue cut-off (we can't have all those amazing depressed!Bella quotes in there) but trust me, this movie IMO felt more like the ~calm mystery~ the book was.

Hope you enjoy it whenever you get to watch it! Don't expect a masterpiece but expect a nice sort of enchanting movie =)

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this movie. Overall, I liked Twilight better, because I don't feel it was as choppy as NM felt to me.

Really? I'm sorry you feel that way about New Moon. I was actually surprised that NM was as 'fast paced' as it ended up being. The book is so slow-moving while the movie always had something going on. Yes i'm not gonna lie there were a few choppy moments (the "bedroom" and then "vote" scenes, I was like "WOW that was fast!") but to me it floated muuuuch more smoothly than Twilight ever did.

I respect your opinion though. Maybe a second viewing will change your bad perception(s) of NM? Who knows =)
