I just got notified that I'm now part of the Xbox Live Update Preview... I put in for that on Monday, and thought I was perhaps too late when other folks started being added yesterday. It's downloading to my console now as we speak.

I just accepted a quote for my computer order; it was the local guys just down the street, whose bid turned out to be only $16 above picking-and-choosing from the field. I am weak. Yesterday in a fit of consumer feeding-frenzy I bought an 8GB Zune.

I've never really been satisfied with the audio reproduction of my little Samsung YP-03 as a music player... it's an excellent little radio and its battery life and portability have been great, but it's not a player for audiophiles and I never did find an equaliser ( Read more... )

I had a little birthday money left over, and after 13 years of use my VCR remote was dying in slow agony. I might have toughed it out a bit longer but for two things; one, the multipurpose remote that came with my TV is also threatening to pack it in, and two, Future Shop had a sale on home theatre remotes. So I endulged.
