tea is comfort food

Unk and I are having a lovely pot of Whittard of Chelsea's Sticky Toffee tea, courtesy of myopicmeringue. She sent it (and some yummy Mango Green tea) last year, and to be honest, I just couldn't wrap my food-brain around tea that was caramel-like. It must have just been a tea night. I just made myself a giant mug of chai tea with vanilla soy milk and it was so good. Like having dessert but withoug the guilt. And it made me feel all warm and cozy on a gloomy evening. Cheers! :-)

I lift my pinkie and raise my cup to you. Mrfsr and I spent today painting the kitchen. In the eternal quest for the "right yellow" I think we finally have a winner. It's very bold, but I love it. It's the deep, bright, goldish yellow of a Van Gogh sunflower.
I am a happy girl.

My kitchen used to be the same yellow, too. Now it is all white...
