And now it's time for some juvenile humor

A couple months ago, Unk and I were watching TV and a commercial for some sort of snack food came on. At the end of the commercial, the camera focuses in on the packaging, and the voice-over announcer says, "... an extraodinary nutsack ( Read more... )

LOL! I noticed they changed it very soon after I'd seen it the first time (though I don't watch a lot of TV). What slays me is that nobody in the advertising firm seemed to notice what EVERYONE IN THE WORLD would notice. DUH!

Or maybe they thought it would be funny? Um, in a good way I mean?

An extraordinary nut snack indeed.

well, it was definitely funny :)

But considering we told all our friends (and some acquaintances too) about it, and never once mentioned ('cause we didn't know it) the name of the product, I'd say it wasn't really "a good way".

Extraordidnary :)

I heard the same thing back when the commercial was on the air. :) Had to rewind a bunch of times.

hahaha too funny!

Did you ever watch The Chris Isaak Show on Showtime? It was hilarious. Anyway, in one episode, he had this woman sort of stalking him. She left him a note written on a bag of nuts from one of those places in the mall. He called the cops to come, and they got there and were talking about it all; and one of his friends says "Show him your nut sack, Chris!" And oh my gosh, we just died laughing over that! Even now, we can say that to each other and crack up...

So I guess my point is we're all sort of juvenile sometimes!`

Obviously no juvenile senses of humour at that ad agency

Their biggest mistake! It's not like they couldn't just pay someone's younger brother a couple bucks to watch the commercial :)
