Interesting.

I trace my love of football to my love of the football TEAM in high school!

Of course, zz-nonno messianic zeal for the Giants didn't hurt either.

Right this minute I am rooting for the Colts against the New England Cheaters. New England friends, be warned!

LOL! Do you know, I almost added something about being "boy-crazy" to that entry! hee hee hee

I'm with you -- cheering on the Colts too. I used to feel equally about Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Recent news stories gave the clear edge to Manning in my book.

I'm glad you like football too :)

And I love Ant because Ant loves football (among other reasons)!

I love football too, especially the American kind. I've recorded the Colts/Pats game so I can watch it tomorrow, skipping all the commercial breaks. One advantage of living in the UK is that you don't get spoiler scores on the news! This is the game of the season between the two best teams. I think the Pats will win by 10 points. I'll see how close that prediction is in the morning...

We all know that baseball is my sport but I like football too. Of course I can't really enjoy it because Mralrescate as a fantasy team. That means he is focused on players rather than teams. It drives me nuts so I really don't watch anymore.

Cool entry. I like football too, for totally different reasons. My family never watched it when I was growing up and I never knew any football players. The Brazilian soccer team and the Boston Red Sox take care of the nostalgia/warm-childhood-fuzzies category for me. But over the past few years football has really grown on me. This is going to sound nerdy, but I think what I love most about football is the perfect pace of the game: there is enough scoring to keep things interesting, but not so much that it gets boring. Hockey is too fast to watch on TV and baseball is too slow (I love both of them live). Basketball, to me, is so fast it's boring (I could go on about that, but I won't). Football is just right.

PS all that stuff about football being a blood sport, that came out when Michael Vick was arrested? I just don't see it. But then again, I love watching rodeo too and that's got plenty of bone-crunching potential, so maybe I am just jaded.
