I often think that when you guys say you sound "posh", you'll say your 'r' like we would call "veddy veddy British" :) It makes me feel good to know I say my 'r's as you do!
The Spanish was so fun to learn, and more than 20 years later, I can't believe I still remember it! I got bonus points for that too :)
Hehe - I don't think anyone my age says their 'veddy' - except maybe in classical/choir type singing. That is very old fashioned posh English. Posh people in their 80s and 90s might say it.
I love hearing your voice. If/when we ever meet, all you'll have to do is talk and I'll sit there smiling at you! :D
You said "My-oh-pick" at the first of your voice post, then you said "My-aw-pic" later. You can't seem to make up your mind. ;)
I thought the saying was " ... the ragged rascal ...", NOT, "... the rugged rascal ..." but, you know me, I could be wrong. I'll have to go back to MM's post to be sure.
Sorry to be so picky. :/
If I remember how to make a voice post on Gizmo, I'll do the saying for MM too. Then you can pick mine apart!! LOL
(and now you know a bit of the twisted interworkings of my mind, and how I can easily transition from something perfectly normal to absolutely crackers in a very short span of time!)

I like your gage/gauge/guage? for a foreign language sounding good -- if we don't understand it! Love it!

I say both -- I told her that the first time!
And HOW did I miss that ragged?!

I didn't know -- until that class -- that not everyone *could* roll their 'r's. It was a revelation to me!
