What the hell does A stand for, anyway?

Is it sheer luck that he managed to get out of the canon flip room?  He doesn't think on it; instead storming through these endless hallways.  He's left that idiot Mile or whatever back  three turns ago, and he's in the mood for war.  What the hell was even going on?  Confusion only succeeded in pissing him off more, and he was confused as all hell
