Whoa. Awesome. Major pwnage here. I like the idea of the vagabond making the connection - it could be anyone, from some anonymous guy to maybe even Iroh or Zuko. Brilliant.

You're right--that is completely logical. :) Like killing the moon.

I actually always wondered if Aang could manipulate the oxygen levels in the air to snuff out the flames. If water-benders can collect water from molecules in the air, it stands to reason that Aang could do the same.

Aang dying though--that's terribly sad, even if it's not the focus of this drabble.

This was excellent. I love the image of the Fire Nation raids in reverse, and the vague 'old vagabond' making the connection.
