I've decided that I need to start maintaining this thing again.  Realistically, I know that time will most likely prevent me from keeping it up to the degree that I'd like, but that's part of the problem lately

I've found the same thing to happen. I've lived in NY for 5 years, and I still feel I have more friends in KS than I do here.

Makes me think that as we get older, its harder to meet like-minded people. Or the effort seems too much compared to how easy it used to be to get to know people. Who knows.
