Morals? What are those? Yeah, ok, I have some... I have lots actually... their basically based around just being polite. And thats it. Ya know, don't kill because someone' will be hurt... don't yell because someone might get offended... either that or my morals are based off of fear... don't kill because someone'll beat the shit out of you or send you to jail for years and years and years.. don't yell... for the same reason.

Seems like kind of a trick question, to me. For both (a) and (b), it is implied that motives of an imaginary being can be determined because the imaginary being gave a commandment. Now, based on this magical information and a faith in a all-powerful being, it is asked to create a logical conclusion ( ... )

Wow... I kinda feel sorry for the person above.

But anyway, easist way for me to rationalize God telling us to do stuff is this: If God created the world, then he knows what has to happen to make it flow correctly. For instance in the Jewish and Christian religions he tells the Isrealites not to have sex with animals. Why? Because you can contract diseases from animals. Because you can form unhealthy relationships with animals. Because it debases your being. Whatever reason you want to accept.

At the time the idea of disease wasn't really known, so God explaining that you can't fuck a sheep because little people might get inside of you and hurt you wasn't an idea the israelites would have accepted.

As for myself, I believe in the Christian God because it makes sense to me. The "rules" God asks for in the old and new testiment make sense to me. They don't contradict what a "good" lifestyle is... And they make me happy...

Just my thoughts.
