It boggles me that something that's on the front page of every major news source in the UK and elsewhere is being considered a spoiler given there's actually no details other than the obvious. Also curious why your reaction was 'hallelujah'.

I'm glad you had a good time on your trip. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Agreed. How can something so unavoidable to hear about possibly be a spoiler?

I've had people bitch at me on my flist for not cutting but...*shrugs* If it was top secret info that had been leaked, I'd have done so. But this is like...news that was announced on a national (UK) television show. Sort of not a secret. I'm contrary when it comes to what constitutes a spoiler though.

Yeah. In my mind, if the actor and network post freely about it, not a spoiler.

This just in: I'm smart and forget to log out of rp journals.

Oh, yes. You said it. I'm so relieved.

Our conversations in Stratford brought all of my concerns about series 5 to the forefront again. Add to it that I think it's a great move for David's career, and I'm remarkably happy about this news. That's not to say that his regeneration is not going to absolutely murder me, of course.

Yes, they were! Thank you!

BTW, the postcards for LLL are finally available. It's a set of 5 for ~£2.55 after the automatic VAT rebate, but the overseas shipping is high at a flat rate of £8.95. If you want to split the shipping cost, just let me know.

It really is good for David. He gets out while everyone still adores him, he's just had this wonderfully successful theatre run. At this point, he can probably just write his own ticket. I'm so happy for him and his success.

Yay! I'm so glad.

Ooo. I am interested, yeah. Let me know how much the total cost ends up being in dollars and I'll paypal it to you.

...Okay, I looked, and apparently we have dissimilar views on certain subjects, but I am keen to hear yours.

It basically comes down to my Moffat issues, namely my issues with how he characterizes the Doctor in the episodes he's written during Ten's era. David's leaving has always been inevitable, and I'd much rather he leave with me adoring his Doctor as much as I do right now. I want to feel absolutely devastated by this regeneration, not wish that it had happened long before.

It's also a good career move for David overall, because I believe him when he says that if he doesn't leave, he's afraid he never will. And even if RTD continued running the show, I wouldn't want him to do that, 'cause it would be a waste of what he has to offer. Seeing him perform in Stratford confirmed what I kinda knew already: he's most at home and natural when he's on a stage and he should have the freedom to do theatre whenever the opportunity arises. On TV and on film, he's phenomenal and exceptional, but on stage, he's perfect.

It was extremely successful. And for the most part, the weather cooperated! My poor skin got completely dried out, though, despite smothering my face with Aquaphor every night. Still, so worth it.
