Donna Noble: Too Much Coincidence

The proceeding bit of brilliance/insanity contains a lot of spoilers for "Turn Left," casting spoilers for "The Stolen Earth"/"Journey's End," speculation based on set photos from "The Stolen Earth"/"Journey's End," general spoilers for everything else we've seen so far in series 1-4, with specific references to "Rise of the Cybermen," "Utopia," " ( Read more... )

fannish: speculation, tv: doctor who, dw: rose tyler, dw: the doctor, dw: donna noble

That is... insanely brilliant. I love it!

Also:
Just imagine Jackie's body type in place of Rose's, 'cause sometimes magnificent breasts skip a generation (story of my life). And to top it all off, she's rude AND ginger.

That cracked me up. Hee! Yes.

I am a HUGE advocate of kid!fic and Doctor/Rose-have-child/"she lied" stories and OMG I want this to be real SO FUCKING BADLY I cant even tell you. Also - if this is true - then if Donna does die, his devastation is going to be UNBEARABLE. Cause he already loves her a whole bunch, if he found out she was his and then lost her, I think he'd be wrecked. *sigh* I am a bad person but I want to see David Tennant emote that. Why, yes, I am a bad person. Thanks for noticing :D

Guh. That would be awesome. Such a fan of the emo!Tennant.

Or maybe Donna has regeneration genes (though not the binary vascular system genes) so she can come back for next season (not Catherine Tate though, of course)?

Here via doctorwho.

I don't really have an opinion on the whole theory except that I can see the logic, sort of. If I squint. I'm pretty much against time!babies all around though.

I did want to mention though that the binary vascular system for Time Lord's does not develop until they've regenerated at least once. One had one heart. Jenny was different b/c she was cloned from Ten, which probably goes a long way towards explaining why she didn't fully regenerate. Although regeneration is never a guarantee.

First of all, I like your thoughts. Maybe I'm crazy too!!
I was sort of dubious about whether Donna was all that special until the Sontaran Stratagem. When the Tardis let Donna fly her - the same Tardis that required Rose to pull her open with a giant chain, mind you - I knew Donna was no ordinary human. So did the Doctor - remember his reaction? He's known since then something was up, I'm sure of it. Remember how he knew all along that Martha was a clone? Whether or not she's the Doctor's child, or Rose's, or both, or what, she is special somehow.

Hmm, I wonder if BadWolf!Rose actually caused herself to let go and be cast into the other universe - because the Daleks were still there. And she knew she would have to defeat them there to truly be rid of them and save the Doctor and the whole world in a larger sense. And when she was there, she realized that she and that whole universe would have to die to truly defeat the Daleks. So she made provisions to keep her baby safe by transporting her into our universe, only her baby grew up to be Donna. And Donna put herself right back into the line of fire by meeting up with the Doctor.
BTW if Donna is around forty she'd also be the right age to be Susan's daughter. If Susan got caught up in the Time War, maybe she wanted to keep her baby safe on Earth, fobwatched her and gave her to the Nobles to raise. Or, Geoff Noble was really Susan's husband, retconned, and Donna is really Sylvia's stepdaughter - hence the antagonism.
OK, I must lay off the crack now!!
