Guess this kinda confirms that a certain individual won't be part of series 5.

I'm thrilled for him, absolutely thrilled beyond words, but at the same time, I'm sad because I'm going to miss him so much. It was inevitable, yes, but it is nice sometimes to make yourself believe that it will last just a bit longer, you know ( Read more... )

I'm still in denial. I'm still sitting here going "Well, maybe they're just pushing s5 of Doctor Who back a bit. Maybe he's still doing it. Nothing's confirmed." But I know deep in my heart it isn't true. It'll sink in soon and I'll probably cry but for now denial is good for me.

Mmm not necessarily. One episode of TV generally takes 7 days to shoot with Saturday/Sunday off. So...thirteen weeks is about 3 months or so...he could still be doing DW.

Ah, but DW isn't your typical television show. They film for 9 months out of the year, and the RSC productions will be taking place at the same time that they should be filming series 5.
