You could plan on spending some time with your half brothers and their parents a few days before the big day. I know they have a present for you, and presents are always good.

I would've done it this very weekend! But, unfortunately, they want me to start training on Friday, so all my plans are shot. But hey, a job means some extra money is coming in, and there's always the bus, right? I think I'll be heading out your way ASAP.

We'll actually be THERE a couple of days before your B-Day. Scottish festival. Pleasanton. Alameda county fairgrounds. Sat and Sun of Labor Day week end. Maybe we can do dinner or something. Does public transit go that far?
