Meanwhile, in other news, last year's film adaptation of the excellent thriller novel Rain Fall is finally out on DVD in the UK. I celebrated by tracking down an English language subtitle file for the Japanese promotional Sony memory stick preview version I've had sitting around for a while (VLC player is still wonderful, by the way). It's a good movie, but I was disheartened to note that Gary Oldman has now joined the thesp contingent which believes that shouting = acting. He displayed the same trait in The Book of Eli, so it might be permanent. Shame.
