There's never anything good on TV.sensaesJanuary 27 2010, 16:15:57 UTC
In the midst of making some observations elsewhere this morning about how downright irritating most real-world dotcom advertising tends to be (that fake Italian opera singer bursting into various contrived scenarios with his "Go compare!" vocal playground bait, assorted open-mouthed, thick-as-shit morons being horribly suburban in the pay of Confused.com, and not to mention those fucking meercats), I was reminded that The Gadget Show (http://fwd.five.tv/gadget-show) returns to Channel 5 next Monday. With one significant (and welcome) change: they've lost the God-awful PC World sponsorship for the programme, and http://www.dixons.co.uk have moved in to fill the gap.
So it's good riddance to all those banal, "My world is meaninglessly-ascribed social values and tacky plastic," ad break bumpers. Huzzah.
Whatever Dixons have lined up to replace 'em couldn't be any worse...could they?
