Don't go thinking that Guy Ritchie's forthcoming Sherlock Holmes film is Jude Law's first brush with the Great Detective, despite the actor's professed ignorance of the stories.

In 1991, he played the part of Joe Barnes in Granada Television's adaptation of "Shoscombe Old Place", during the Case-Book run of the series:
