I've been following this via Shapely Prose, so sadly no reality check here--so to add to the craziness apparently Barbie's (yes, that one) cankles are too fat for fashion.

Incredible, isn't it?

Without waving my feminist credentials (*pauses for laughter from the cheap seats*), the best argument I ever heard for trying to rectify the disproportionate "fame" that has been bestowed upon fashion models, from Twiggy to Kate Moss, involved putting bags on their heads.

The point being that it's the clothes which are important, not the nonentities wearing 'em. We shouldn't even know their names.

Talking of a reality check, Nicholas Cage has had to put his Gothic folly castle at Midford, just outside Bath, on the market due to the downturn in the market................. is that the Gargoyles I hear rubbing their collective talons together in glee. They'll be wanting to 'measure up' for dungeon chains next!
