I haven't seen it yet but have relatively firm plans to do so in maybe a week or so when the theatres will be a little less crowded. Though just the mentioning of the tie-ins makes me sick. I would be perfectly willing to, let's say, pay an euro more to see a product placement free version.

That's a neat solution to what has become an awful, insidious problem. Since Sony own MGM, in many ways their involvement would be the hardest to untangle. (Actually, it'd be impossible - they have the most to gain or lose via the franchise tie-ins globally. It's very sad to think that 007 has effectively become their cash cow...)

I guess hoping that there eventually would be a meaningful backlash amounts to wishful thinking. But I find it still very incomprehensible why such a wildy successful franchise has to do such things.

Because of the sheer amount of material I didn't try to keep track of all the clips available but if you are still interested and if you haven't already done so, here might be a good place to download some clips.
