Is "slut" always an insult? I'm inclined to say yes, and that calling a woman a "slut" in porn is generally meant to degrade her and indicate that a woman who likes to have a lot of sex is a worthless, brainless sack of shit. Lovecrafty says no, men love sluts, it's an endearment. I am inclined to say that he may be defending the use of the word overmuch; however, I am willing to put the question to the forum.
