Christmas has come and gone, in its usual grinding way. There were some good bits here and there. I felt like the stuff I gave people was last-minute and uninspired this year, which was kind of depressing, but some of it seemed to go over reasonably well. Because you are a sucker for the shiny, shiny wrapping paper. This is why.

I too have things to give you, but was waiting until after all the presumed hullabaloo to ask you about visiting. I also have some v. v. drunk pears to tempt you (and Aunty Deluvian and the Professor, possibly) with.

I think xmas is one of the hardest holidays to ignore. People tend not to let you. And usually you're with family, and they've all absorbed the Happiest Time of the Year business... there's really little choice. Family can usually make you do anything.
Mat cutting is hard.
