I went completely off on a tangent today. I'd been talking to the Professor about pendulums last night, and looking around my apartment at all my various kinds of ink and paint, and so this afternoon I combined them

At some point the Science Center had a harmonograph you could play with. Possibly it still does.

Is it possible to get a closer look at your ink dispensing device or a diagram of some sort? I've mentally tried out all the combinations of ink dropper + hacked up yogurt container + bits of wire, and it just isn't working out.
