I was reading this entire article, wondering if they would interview a REAL archaeologist. As I got closer to the bottom without seeing anything, I started to get a little irritated. Thank goodness for those two paragraphs. At the bottom, I might add, but there nonetheless ( ... )

Does Time Team still get shown in the US? That's made archeology a popular thing here in the UK, and without the presenters (Tony Robinson) and experts (various real-life archaeologists from universities around the UK) needing to scramble through ancient tombs or battle dangerous beasties. They just jump carefully in and out of trenches and enthuse a lot about scruffy bits of pot and the odd floor tile or bone tool, and it works.

Now, I've never seen it air over here. I was told about it by a Brit friend and I downloaded a bit, got addicted and grabbed all I could find. Which is quite a bit, actually.
