Ancient Egypt 'respected dwarfs'

The Ancient Egyptians respected dwarfs, and did not see them as having a physical handicap, according to a study by US researchers.

A team from Georgetown University Hospital looked at biological remains and artistic evidence of dwarfism in ancient Egypt.

Awesome. I just had my senior seminar in household archaeology and wrote my term paper on the households of ancient Egypt, and Bes (the ugly dwarf god) was very heavily featured within household settings. Thanks for posting this!
