On the one hand (and it is a very small hand...more like a finger), yes, it's great that people will be able to see this.
On the other, It's still wealthy americans, not most people, who will get to see this, and of those with the opportunity, how many are likely to go to this instead of a moive with the family?
These bones are old and fragile and belong to and in Ethopia. If people want to see them, they should go there to see them. I totally disagree with sending these bones around the world at any price.
I debated about whether I should see the exhibit myself, but probably will. I have a museum membership and would go to the exhibit without Lucy being part of it, there is a lot more to the exhibit than just Lucy. Since I would pay to see the exhibit without Lucy, the museum is not getting any extra money from me because of Lucy.
