Wahey, I have power and influence! I can make people post on their lj :-)

Not that I understood very much of the above physics-y jargon (my brain is currently being melted by the theme of destiny in the Aeneid) but I'm sure you will be able to explain it to me tomorrow, and we can have a nice little debate when I refuse take any of it seriously. See you tomorrow! xxx

Remember, you are speaking to the guy whose main recollections from five years of physics lessons are demonstrating nuclear decay with Skittles, skiving off coursework and having the best safety talk ever, which ended with the memorable sentance “Now that I’ve told you that, if you come up here and drop down dead, it’s your own silly fault, and we will all laugh at you.” My grasp of high-level physics is about as advanced as the health-and-safety beurocracy developing in my father's coffee mug, which can also be described, fortunately, as 'not very'. :P

Hmm. Well, I feel I should interject as a good friend and point out that classical physics and quantum physics do make sense together. Quantum physics builds off the basics of classical, but we mostly use classical for every day life.

Because really, it's not every day you encounter a black hole, is it?

At least, that was how my cantankerous Physics teacher taught me...

A little while ago I misread a label saying 'warming backache pads' as 'warming heartache pads'. I was rather suprised that Boots wee selling them for several moments, before I realised what I'd done...
