So, I'm spending this month in the company of an orthopedist - he's really great to work with, very interesting fellow. Anyway, in the clinic we were seeing a demented little elderly lady who resides in an assisted living facility. She fell recently, breaking her shoulder in the process. A bit literal, but then at that age the people around them tend to get that way, so they in turn sometimes take them at their word.

Too true. My mama always says "If your lucky, you'll live to be that age someday..." Not entirely convinced of the luck of that, but the principle's the same.

She was so calm, too, about the prospect of hanging out in that exam room for 2 weeks. Bless her!
