I came across this delightful quote in a naval biography recently. I'll leave you to imagine my reaction...

there I am trying to concentrate on my LJ catchup morning and then am led astray - the only trouble is my scatty mind has strayed down paths my subconscious should probably police better - but that simply had to be shared :) Its priceless !

Don't we all look for that which is a bit bigger or somewhat longer? Anyway, in the more detailed description, I note that it first says "corvette" and then goes on to describe a first rate, almost as if it is speaking of two different model ships.
