Not a bad place for a conference...

Just got back from the conference in Portsmouth tonight and I think it's fair to say that nodbear and I had a whale of a time! The weather was glorious and we got to spend three days in the delightful surroundings of the Historic Dockyard and the Royal Naval Club and Royal Albert Yacht Club. Our presentation went really well, we got lots of interesting

Nothing wrong with being a fangirl at all! We were rather chuffed that a couple of people spotted the connection :) The papers were all completely fascinating, I'd love to have been able to hear more of them!

No, sadly no goats :( There were chickens though - in a rather nice curry! Not exactly traditional naval fare but very tasty :)

The conference organisers were the nicest people imaginable and everyone was really friendly. it was fab!
