Fangirls and Pigeons

Mar 03, 2012 17:27

I'm back home after a long but productive work meeting in London on Friday and a splendidly civilised dinner with esmerelda_t and nodbear in the evening. Afterwards esmerelda_t and I took a leisurely stroll through Trafalgar Square before retiring to her neck of the woods where we watched a whole 20 minutes of Poldark (baby Ioan looks terribly cute but Ned would have been ( Read more... )

I am still horribly hungover and I cant quite figure out why. I think the pigeon is spiking my booze.

Awww sweetie! I'm feeling quite perky now! I suggest you snuggle up on the couch with the pigeon and watch some more BSG ;)

Two or three thoughts. He is adorable, with his hair like that. Perhaps Archie's nephew... Also watched Jamie's interview. I think he went to great pains to point out he could have gotten the pigeon is he wished. I can just imagine him chasing a hornet with a broom though. They have hornets in England? Obviously they have bees (Winnie the P)
And also, did he really play a guy who was thrown down a well?

Utterly adorable! See below for further proof :)

There's a lovely still of him on the sofa with his broom but I'm buggered if I can find it now! I'm not sure where the hornet came from. There are certainly none up here but I've no idea if you get them down south.

Look at it this way, it makes a change from getting shot! If you wan't to see the edited highlights of Lady Audley's baffling secret, some dedicated fangirls has posted all of Jamie's scenes here/a>.

That adorable bebeh! Definitely going with "Archie's nephew" as an explanation, or really "young cousin once removed" if I'm staying with my story. Baby Matthew, perhaps, all grown up.

What year is that set in, exactly? It looks later than Hornblower, of course... I'm wondering if it's close enough to be Archie in his non-naval, post-Renown career. (Because I know what really happened!)

Exactly? On the basis of what we watched I have no idea even vaguely when it was set! We watched it purely for the pretty and fast-forwarded through anything that looked remotely plot like XD According to wikipedia it is set in 1857 though. I think he looks a bit young here to be post-Renown Archie, but I can live with that ;)

zegeekgirl did a very funny plot summary over at bamber_news a while back.

*cough* I admit they may have been random episodes that just happened to randomly feature Mr Bamber with his shirt off...
