... At the National Museum of the Royal Navy!!
Stop sniggering at the back there. I'm not making this up. This is a genuine event being hosted by the
National Museum of the Royal Navy (*speechless*) at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on the 12th of February. Just in time for Valentines day. Awwwww. The blurb runs as follows:
Including a drink on arrival, a live string quartet to accompany the evening, the opportunity to view some of the museum’s most romantic love letters which will be on display for the first time and of course the chance to meet up to 50 like-minded single people in a unique setting.
Please also bring your own mask!
One can only hope that it's Jack and Stephen playing in the string quartet and not poor old tone deaf Hornblower. Could someone explain what the masks are for please? I'm getting slightly worried...
What to wear for such an occassion though? Well I do believe I've found the perfect thing.
Saumarez Ethical Lingerie! Oh yes. According to their website "Saumarez is sexy, confident, elegant and sophisticated. Who said being good can't be fun!" And who'd have thought an Admiral could produce such stylish knickers?!
Do you think that's really what they wore under their nice white breeches?
I'm sorry, I'll get me coat...
