I'd forgotten about that scene and when I read it again I said, woo! That's the stuff! Just brushing their fingers together. Yum.

Willow gives me fits. It's partly because I cannot seem to forgive her for resurrecting Buffy, and this infects how I view her in earlier seasons when I go to write her. The seeds are there as far back as season three. I probably just need to write out that failure to forgive and get it all out of my head.

I think you have Willow down perfectly in this story - and in Breathing. And in that camping one that starts with an R. Hrm. Trying to think of when you haven't done her justice and I can't.

I disagree about that line you think Buffy wouldn't say. I think she would.
