Much better with the Joyce stuff!

And I forgot to mention it before but Children in Magical Foursomes: A Workboof for Parents? Kills me! I can just see Joyce looking for something like that.

Wow. This is the first of your fics I've ever read. And polyamory among the Scoobies and Giles! Must say (apart from being so engaged by the characters as you portray them) I was impressed by your writing. It's so efficient and clean, not spare exactly as you have some beautiful lyrical descriptions. I was only a short way into the first section when I copied a section of text I knew I'd want to use in my comment.

He’d given her a curiously curved and exotic combat knife with a black blade and runes carved into the handle, sort of a Delta Force meets Druids thing. Xander knew, and Buffy knew, that this was how Giles said he loved her. That, and standing bewildered outside clothing stores wondering if she would like something. That was such a perfect swath of writing--the Delta Force meets Druids and the indirect code of Giles expressing love for Buffy and Xander and Willow knowing that about him, and finally the tenderness of Giles standing 'bewildered' outside clothing stores, wanting to buy something more. So much was packed into ( ... )

You just made my day or possibly my entire weekend, you realize.

There are three other stories in the little series, which you may have discovered already. I hope they give pleasure.

Will definitely check them out. I follow writers as much as pairings. I don't normally choose to read het, but will when someone's writing pulls me in. And a bit of everyone in the same bed, boys and girls together--or at least, these girls and boys, well, what's not to like ;-) I especially like a manly Xander, protective of the people he loves. And he loves Giles. Yay!

I really enjoyed this! I love the way you use words - minimally, but never seeming so. Every description, every interaction, is so perfectly detailed. Vivid because of the choice of words, not lengthy details. It is a skill I hope to learn someday.

I hope you don't mind, I'm adding you to my friends list.

Aw, blush, thanks. Praise of my prose style is the shortest path to my heart, I gotta say. And I never mind friending!

This is great! I love it when a story is not predictable! I loved that the scene I thought was coming ( one that I was sure was going make this an FRAO fic) was interrupted by Joyce!

I also loved Buffy's thought about a book called. Children in Magical Foursomes: a Workbook for Parents. So is Joyce going to hold an intervention for her Buffy?

Well, I've been reading this series and I have to say that it's very well done. I didn't think I could ever read a story about the four of them that was believable, but you pull it off.
I think you need a follow-up story with Joyce and maybe the other parents because I don't believe for an instant that Joyce wouldn't go to at least Willow's folks to cause trouble. She might even raise hell with immigration. She isn't the kind of person to just stop and think for a minute that it really isn't any of her business. I'd be willing to bet that she gets Buffy's dad involved too. Lots of potential conflict here. Hope you're going to write more on this.

Yeah, I think Joyce isn't done with her rampage quite yet. I'll return to this eventually, I think. I'm fond of the setup, with the four of them as a weird little family.
