He's a good human being, is our Xander. And so is this Willow. (Pre-egotistical self-centered Willow, back when I loved her.)

I love the voices here! And the exploration of free will, or even the illusion. I miss the Xander and Willow of the early series, and I wonder what would have happened if they could have stayed in character-- grown, of course, but still stayed true to those initially presented, complex characters.

I hope to say a great deal more about free will and the illusion thereof in the real version of this story. Though I also hope I'll say it much more indirectly.

Very good early Giles/Xander moment. Xander's voice was especially good. I liked the way that he equated the research with something he enjoyed so he would stick with it. Even in the beginning he was the heart of the group.

I think I need to see Season 1 at some point.
Of the three fragments, this is my favorite. I think you capture Xander's voice really well.

Season 1 is kinda sweet. I'm much fonder of it than the second half of season 6, and all of season 7.
