[ Denzel's had enough of the infrimary. He's been here for about a month, and he's had itEvery day, the nurse's have come in to check on him; taken his temperature, peer down his throat, examine his forehead. [ Denzel's not so sure if video or text would be the best way to respond to this. He's worried he'll go tripping down the hall if he tries to focus on texting, so he keeps his NEXUS set to video for now. ]

Um, y-yeah. A little. I'm not good or anything, though. [ Denzel shrugs a little, his eyes always moving away from the screen and to the hallway ahead of him, then back to the screen. ]

[Alma merely smiles; he feels so much better now that he knows this place isn't just full of grownups.]

Hey, I'm not that good at it either! Maybe we can practice together sometime!

[ Denzel will smile back faintly. ]

That would be fun. [ If I ever find my way back to my room Denzel says to himself. ]

[Brought to the infirmary under these circumstances, she is only very distantly aware of the boy's escape. Heavily medicated after her outburst, she sounds groggy, throat dry. But she has a delicate European accent, distinctly feminine:]

Drawings?

[ Denzel nods, offering a small, weak smile to the camera. ]

I was drawing in the library before I had to go to the infirmary. I don't know where my drawings ended up after wards. I didn't take them with me.

[She lifts her head off the pillows to look at him. Very pale, brittle looking, dark hair wild around her head. Her eyes do not focus well, but she offers a faint little smile in return.]

If you should find them perhaps you would come back and show me.

[Keeping her head up is quite a bit of work, she lays it back down, the hand holding the nexus sinking down tiredly as well, skewing the video down and to the side.]

[ Denzel goes quiet for a few, long moments. The girl he sees on the screen looks terribly sad and lonely. To meet her seems like such a good thing to do, but nervousness is all he feels in the pit of his stomach at the thought of heading back to the infirmary. He wonders if he'd be in trouble for sneaking away. He also wonders what they'd do to keep him there if he returned. ]

Maybe so. They couldn't have gotten too far.. [ His voice fades quickly into silence again. Returning is a thought that scares him, but perhaps when the nurse's were away he'd have the perfect chance to visit the pale girl on the screen. ]

A drawing? What kind of drawings?

People I've met here, different rooms. O- only in pencil, though.

Did you lose them? I'll be sure to keep a look out for them.

Yeah. [ He smiles sadly. ] I was drawing in the library.. but I had to go to the infirmary and I left them behind.

i'll keep an eye out.

[He doesn't know the boy well -- it's hard to participate in glee when you're in the infirmary -- but he has to keep himself busy. He has to do something with himself, otherwise he'll drown in this silence.]

[ Denzel's glad someone has taken an interest in helping to look for his drawings. He's desperate to get them back, finish them, and continue to draw more. ]

they were whole sheets but wrinkled and ripped a little. the drawings are in pencil.

I drew a few people, and started drawing the library too. I didn't get to finish them, though.

I wouldn't mind. It would be fun. [ And fun is something this kid desperately needs. ]

If it helps, the last place I saw the drawings was in the library. I'm just not sure if someone found them and took or something..
