but as he goes on, he proves to know more than the others and presents a greater promise of competence; therefore, she eases. fractionally.
prepare for those bundle of questions, because she does have them. might as well ask, and the sooner she learns, the quicker she can find a way out of here and back to her...teammates.]

[an impulsive correction. only the military referred to her by her last name--and she wasn't a sergeant anymore. but the fact that allen looked a lot like her younger charge probably lent to it too.
she tries to listen to him, but there are so many conditions that seem to force her to stay here that simply shake up the control she's attempting to maintain. how he's laying it on her doesn't help either.
though she doesn't quite explode yet, her tone of voice isn't any less gruff.]
Don't tell me it doesn't matter. I'll find those materials, wherever they are, and I will bring it to them so they'll have no excuse.
Is there a map of this place I can access? And how could I contact these scientists--are they here?
