This was absolutely wonderful, especially since I had just been thinking about this 'verse last night. I love all of them, but I think my favorites are probably Naughty and Kick-Ass. And I may be wrong, but I don't think you indicated even once whether Sojourner was a mech or a femme - that takes amazing talent and creativity. Going off to re-read.
It is interesting how this set of 28's (AU they may be) changes the feeling of the original piece. The initial stand alone piece was very poignant. And this AU set takes away from that feeling to allow a much more cheerful outcome. But that aside; regarding these, you did a great job with them conveying the setting and building a history for the AU with the set. You also run quite the gamut of emotions with this set; humor, cute, funny, serious, sincere, fear, happiness.
There were a few lines that really stand out for me even now as just fiting. From naive, "the Dynobots won't stop laughing" and "Smokescreen said to ask you, because Prowl would terminate him if he told me anything.” from daring "Wow. How long was I gone?” from at the beach, “Would I lie to you, ‘Journer?” “Yes, Sides." (what a smart kid), from playing with kids "I don’t know why I was ever concerned about Sojourner lacking interaction with individuals of a similar mental development stage.” Then Book Reading was just all in all cute. I adore the idea that Prowl would teach the Cons why they don't mess with his sparkling.
