Things Regained - A story in 28 prompts

May 07, 2009 00:08

It was to be epic, a long spanning novel to bring poets to tears and others to their knees.

But my braincell spazzed out, hit me with the reality bat and told me to take my 28 prompts and be happy with it.

Prowl/Jazz, Prowl/Soundwave, Jazz/Soundwave or Jazz/Soundwave/Prowl (wait... this one isn't a pair...)?

Though considering you like Prowl/anyone I'd be hard pressed to write one involving him you don't like... ;P

I don't like Prowl/...Um...Um...Um...I DON'T LIKE PROWL WITH ANY OF THE CASSETES. 8D''''

...Primus I'm a loser. *headdesk* ALSO. I must ask- have you read either Kyo Kara MAOH or Orange Crows? (I highly suggest them both, if you haven't.)

Oh, my, Primus! This is just too great! I love how you included Soundwave with my OTP. And finding out, after Prowl had been freed, that Red Alert was chipped too was just brilliant! I'm guessing that Red used to be a thief, like in outerelf's "Luckysteal," until he got caught and was chipped by Longarm/Shockwave for practice before doing it to Prowl. But now that both he and Prowl are free to be themselves again, look out Decepticons/pranksters/Cybertron!! *laughs*

All in all, the drabbles were a great way to do Bunny #2. The only thing that would've made it even better is if you somehow included Bunny #1, Jazz singing Aladdin's "One Jump Ahead" somewhere, but I guess you can't have everything.

One jump ahead of the breadline
One swing ahead of the sword
I steal only what I can't afford

Prowl stopped, looking into the rec. room to see all the cassettes, Blaster's and Soundwave's, for once getting along peacefully, gathered in front of the vid screen as music played and some two dimensional adolescent male capered across a fascimile of Persian culture.

One jump ahead of the lawmen
That's all, and that's no joke
These guys don't appreciate I'm broke

Both his lovers were there, along with Blaster, who looked a little puzzled as to why they and Soundwave's team were trying very hard not to laugh. The Ops mech and the telepath turned to the tactician in the doorway, smirking as the song continued playing.

One jump ahead of the slowpokes
One skip ahead of my doom
Next time gonna use a nom de plume
One jump ahead of the hitmen
One hit ahead of the flock
I think I'll take a stroll around the blockA quick ping to Teletraan's database had the lyrics in his CPU, and Prowl chuckled, softly crooning the next few words as he ( ... )

Wow, I love the common themes you have running through them all...Prowl and a terrible chip, Jazz helping him survive by feeling, and a threesome with Soundwave...wow! I love the crying one the best =)

It's the bunny, it bit, then snagged the 28 prompts meme and beat me over the head with it after my braincell was done with the Bat of RealityTM.
