The ship's been cleaned. Insanely. Every bit of it's shining brightly, even whiter than it normally is, and all is pristine and perfect for a trip that guarantees, considering time and the personages involved, that by the time they land, it'll be a mess ( Read more... )

Luke comes in a little bit after Val does, carrying most of their luggage (because he is insistent that he is GOING TO HELP, dammit), and looks around with a rapidly growing grin.

It's nice to be on a ship again.

He'd probaly notice his wife, ensconced on a couch, with papers, books, and laptop. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Looking up, she waves him over idly.

He wanders over, but only long enough to ask, "Do you have any idea where the luggage goes?"

"Um. You'll have to ask Trillian or Zaphod. There's cabins around somewhere, and they'll point you to one that's big enough for the both of us, hopefully." No, she does't want to sleep away from Luke, why do you ask?

And at some point in time, a figure materializes in the bridge. It is a strange transluscent blue man in Jedi robes. Qui-Gon's Force-ghost has come on the mission. He seems to be slightly frustrated that he is incorporeal at the moment. However, he is there, to lend any aid possible.

"You already blend right in."

Said by Trillian, over at the mainframe, resetting coordinates. Every good ship has to turn.

"I thank you, Mistress. It is not many times that a dead Jedi can blend into his surroundings." He smiles a bit. "This is a quite fascinating ship, to my eyes."

Oh, no. Ford remembers the last time a ghostly figure materialized on the bridge of the Heart of Gold.

"You're not Zaphod Beeblebrox the Third, are you? Or perhaps the Second?"

Steph looks around curiously, and tries to resist the urge to poke about too much.

Ford walks over to greet the new arrival.

"I don't believe we've met. I'm Ford."

"Steph," Steph says, holding her hand out. "This place is totally cool, isn't it?"

Ford shakes her hand, grinning. "Yeah, it's a pretty nice ship. Me and this ship go way back."

He pats a control panel gently, causing a series of alarms to sound for a couple of seconds, followed by the voice of Eddie, the shipboard computer. He sounds nervous.

"Please don't touch that panel, guys, okay? Thanks a heap!"

Isabel and Warren enter the ship, though her lack of touching of her husband is unique. Instead her arms are wrapped around herself and her eyes are scanning the room for Max or Michael.

Michael waves to her from a corner.

Max looks up from the book he'd been scribbling notes in, and is sitting next to Michael, nodding at them both.

"Hey, Izzy."

She heads over immediately, turning to hug her brother. "I can't believe we're actually doing this..."
