He was going to Paraguay for diplomatic purposes, and he had to land in the US for refueling. Asked for permission a month ago. America answered yesterday, saying that Chen Shui-bien could land in Anchorage or Hawaii, but he could not leave the plane, and he could not see anyone outside of the plane. So our president asks Beirut. Similar response. Why? Blackmail a la China.

Finally got approval from UAE, but that's irrelavent.
