I has THE problems with the hand. after my imagination decided to just take off to vacation, I took a photo of my hand and worked with that. of course, stupid as I sometimes am, I first took a shot at the wrong hand...

That is gorgeous. It looks like a professional book cover.

thank you ^^
nah, it's far from being professional. I just edited this entry and uploaded the base pic. look at it and you'll see that I still make so many mistakes, you just need a good effect to cover it up. ;P

ARGH! That's unfair! XD

x-posting - well sometimes there are different people in different communities with their own different thoughts! So it worth it )))

This is spectacular - I love it. I truly envy your talent for digital coloring. I, myself, prefer traditional media, but this is extraordinary. What version of Photoshop do you have, and do you use a tablet?

thank you ^^
nah, I'm still a noob at CG, with traditional media I can work better as seen in the rest of this journal.
I use Photoshop 7 and am married to my tablet which has a working surface of A4.
A5 is too small for me XD;

Ah. XD I can't do shades with digital media. At least with traditional media can shade somewhat well, I think. You can judge that for yourself on my most recent post on anime_art. XD; I used to have Photoshop 7 on my desktop computer, but when I went to transfer it to my laptop, something happened, and then my desktop crashed after trying to play Final Fantasy VII... So I've been stuck without a halfway decent program. XD;

shades are pretty simple when you've got the basics down. I worship those artists who only use a few layers and get a smooth result. I still have like 3 gazillion layers for one pic. a phenomenon that can result in me colouring in the wrong layer and then repeatedly crashing my head against the desk when I can't say anymore where I coloured what exactly.
haha, I already commented to your entry. ^^ since when do you draw?
XD computer problems... how we love them. I don't have computer games for they tend to ruin my harddrives and software beyond repair. for playing I have my trust-worthy but, at the moment, dusty XBox.
Gimp is good too. freeware.

another ff VII lover? *squees in a random fangirly moment*
