Seems okay I guess, with scars it all depends on how big it was, deep it was, and how it occured in your mind ya know?
So if the wound was deep the scar would need stiches and such to help it close up fully otherwise he'd have a gapping indent in his neck. yeah I've seen people live like that, those scars are scary because they're like little mouths on the body (shudder).
If the wound was more SHALLOW as in it didn't pierce to deeply you could have just a nice little discoloration of his skin...although it could also have a bit of scar tissue surrounding it...depending on how hot the weapon was when it hit him...
It all depends.
I'd do some research on how scar form really. Then you'd have a good mental idea of how to draw your own scars for Daisuke.
But he looks good. And I LIKE oversized collars so...blah! lol
hm, yeah, I know what you mean and I know what scars look like on real persons in various states but when I wanted to draw it I kinda didn't know how to go at it.
oversized collars RULE, I say! lol If they are so small, I don't know what to do with them, they are meant to be big. XD;
The only thing I can suggest on scars is searching on Google or something for tutorials (I've turned up a lot of good tutorials that way).
I really like the style you use, it reminds me a bit of Kaori Yuki, only he's more masculine than most of her designs. You have a gorgeous way of drawing eyes.
The textured background is very nice too, it gives this a feel like it could be a poster.
Also, for no good reason, I express my love for gratuitous zippers.
Hm, I found some good tutorials for various things (blood and scratches, hair, skin and so on) on LJ and deviantArt but I never found some stuff for scars.
Kaori Yuki? *^_^* You flatter me too much. The characters I'm trying to portray are not that feminine, they need to have a muscled body or they'd be killed in an instant. Eyes are mostly the easiest things to draw for me.

Zippers are love. No one can deny that.
