I really love this! I love all the tiny details, the care and the zoomed-in focus of the narrative, I love how slow and gradual and still inevitable it all feels, and the way Hikaru just exudes so much exhilaration at finally having Touya with him like this.

This was Touya’s deliberate, public, breathtaking choice.

:DDDDDD I loved this. I also love: When the key snicks into the lock, Touya’s hand is on his wrist, and Hikaru finds it obscenely difficult to think of anything else, but the shudder of his pulse running down Hikaru’s fingertips and into the steady grip of Touya’s palm. <-- that, I just love all of that, it's so subtle and fine-pointed and lovely.

And I love how it ends. Brava!

Thanks, sweets. In fic so often, boys just fall into relationships by accident almost, and with these two, I feel like everything they do and everything they choose is so precise and planned that any relationship between them couldn't be any different, whether conscious or not. I really wanted to try my hand at an established relationship fic that wasn't established at all. If that makes any sense. ;p

There isn't much cuddling fic in Hikago. I hadn't really thought about it before, but there is so much already in Merlin that now I feel like we're lacking somehow! Are the Japanese canons just inherently non-cuddling? D: That thought makes me sad, so I hope it's our fault and not theirs...
