Shindou's spontaneous actions are what make him such an fun character. But then you have logical Touya to contrast him and that makes HnG great. This fic really showcases both Touya & Shindou in the way they act and react to each other.

I like it, I like it! I wish I could tell you why but it's a combination of everything--the length because it gives the story time to unravel, for the build-up at Hikaru's disappearance and the slow explanation of why he left; their personalities and reactions, which I find a believable extension from what we've seen in the series; the game and the phone call and Touya's reaction from first seeing Shindou to hearing about Sai; the fact that it's gen, but Touya and Shindou's importance to and influence on each other is still unmistakable. Put all together, it's simply a delight to read.

I like how you balanced all the seriousness with some lighter moments (Waya's comment about Hikaru's plants, for example). Great job!
