I really liked the way you wrote Akari and Kuwabara, actually -- how she somehow knew she was safe, and was able to appreciate his experience, while ruthlessly taking advantage of the situation to get an interview. I think they came out pretty even, in the end, on that bargain.

I like the underlying idea of this fic. Not every day do you see how females have to struggle and use any and all means to get what they want in the multimedia world. It saddens me, really, but I'm also really impressed with how accurately you portrayed Akari's dedication to her job and 'getting the scoop'. It reminded me of Thank you for smoking, too. Really good stuff.

The one thing that got me confused a little was Mitani's section, though. I think I understand where it belongs, but I didn't get enough connection as to what REALLY happened.

Oh, before I forget. Thank you for not having Kuwabara have sex with Akari. I don't think I could've taken it and plus, he wouldn't have. Your characterization of him is spot on in that regard :)

thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comment. it's not a fantasy or a nice, happy scenario, but i hoped it was at least a bit hot and a bit complex, so. yeah.

for the mitani part... well, i wanted it to start with a hot and dirty booty call between akari and her boyfriend, but then have it turn around and have a more sinister angle. (that she'd just had that experience with kuwabara and he was watching them, which was part of why she was so wild...)

and LOL, yeah... no, didn't need to see kuwabara gettin' it up and all... ^_^;;;;
