now this is a well-executed A.U. the roles of the characters are different, but still very them. it seems deep, like there are more stories you could tell, but this works as a stand-alone.

Oh my, this is wonderful. I'm not sure how to describe it because it's really unique and the setting / choice of characters (and it is so disturbingly easy to imagine Ogata as a hitman!) are completely unexpected, but you've made it work and, wow, I really am speechless. I adore Yang Hai and I loved how whenever Ogata thinks he's got him, Yang Hai goes and outsmarts him. Also, Sai's thinking function is adorable! I keep thinking of a chibi version of Sai tapping his fan against his chin and it makes me want to squish him. XD

Thank you for writing this, I love this universe and look forward to many more... unconventional fics from you <3 Just perfect.

This is wonderful, an understandable yet rich AU. I sometimes have a hard time understanding or relating to some of the AUs but this one does a good job on both counts.
